Penguin Book Covers Image Manipulation: Developed Further

This is an extension to the post from earlier this month!

I added the last of the requirements (a non-photographic image e.g. a scanned image) to my designs and played about with them until I achieved an effect that I was happy with…. Ta-dah!

These are only print screens which is the reason for the bad quality, sorry!

Today we are having a critique in class so hopefully I will get some interesting feedback….

    Tasha,

These books are brilliant, particularly the third one!
I really like the texture and depth of the montage!

I’m looking forward to seeing where you’re CD design ends up, I’m liking the direction it is taking.

I see you’ve taken part in the creative faces competition. Are you planning on checking out LCAD on an open day at all?

And one last thought for now, the advertising poster’s composition almost suggests a left hand drive car? Nothing major, just something I noticed.

      Hi Aaron!
Cheers for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
Thanks, and yes the 3rd one (Telephone) is my fave too – handed that project in Tuesday so hoping for a good grade 🙂

My CD Design has actually come a long way since that post, I need to print screen some images and post them really – will do that soon, and look forward to your thoughts on them!

Well I have put LCAD down as one of my choices but I have missed the open days really hah I am basing it on the work I have seen by you and Karl which looks amazing – I LOVE the Royal Fail letter!! I have visited Leeds before but for Leeds Uni open day, so have a bit of a feel for the place already… hopefully I will get an interview and be able to look around then :S

Yeah I need to sort the advertising thing out, well I did yesterday – reflected everything so now it is a right hand drive car… but my concept is that the driver is distracted so they don’t see the other car over taking on their side of the road if you get me? I am still not happy with the typography, I am still looking for a font that I like!

Hope Leeds is great! Tasha x
