First things first – Happy New Year! It’s 2013 and it’s going to be a really busy, scary, exciting and important year for me. I’m going to graduate and set out on a mission to find a real job in the industry – eeek! 13 is an unlucky number for some but hopefully 2013 won’t be unlucky for me! 😉
Sorry I haven’t been posting a lot – I’ve kept up with Tri Fri for the last 3 weeks but am working on my ISTD project which is a competition brief, so have been refraining from posting anything which might give my idea away.
So for the time being, all I can really share are a few of the lovely gifts that I received this christmas and for my Birthday – I am a Boxing Day baby!
I think 2012 was the year of the sketchbook/notebook. I always say ‘You can never have enough nice sketchbooks’ and it is very true. Now I just need to overcome my fear of making that first mark in them! I also received a wooden triangular necklace by Kate Rowland illustration from Jack (which I’m sure you will see a lot more of) and ‘treated’ myself to a geometric canvas bag from Primark (it was only £1.50 so not much of a treat ha)
All from Jack for my birthday – a triangular print notebook from the Grafika range by 1973 (which came in the nice circle patterned paper bag) and a set of 3 geometric and brown paper notebooks from Paperchase. I love geometric prints – he did good 🙂
I also received a metal N with detailing from my sister and an AlphaArt N from Danielle helped to take my collection upto 5:
… as well as an N notebook from Amy! Thanks to everyone who gave me these lovely gifts.
I’m back in Lincoln now & ready to get on with things. I’ve got a final hand in on Tuesday so until then I’m going to be very quiet (again, sorry).
