XXX @ Jealous

Following on from the valentines trip to Borough Market, Jack, Lucy & I visited the XXX exhibition at Jealous Gallery in Shoreditch. Also known as Triple X, the space was quite small but bursting with passion thanks to the collection of ‘love/anti-love themed’ pieces by artists and designers.

I loved the simplicity of ‘Today We Are Going To Learn The Alphabet’ by Mobstr – very striking.

Jack recognised the distinctive style of these David Shillinglaw pieces from Moniker Art Fair back in November 2014. I love the light hearted tone: ‘Glue for a broken heart’.

These cute doodles by Hayden Kays caught my eye, whilst Carl Cashman was throwing some shapes around (in space?):

As a Londoner (if I can call myself one now?) I recognised the work of Ben Eine straight away. His bright graffiti style letters can be found on the shutters of shops all around the capital – and they’re spreading further afield now too!

I loved these quirky typographic pieces by Hannah Dickins. True colours reminds me of my 90’s childhood – I’m thinking Barbie, Care Bears or My Little Pony? ha

On my way out I spotted this little bowl of pin badges featuring some of the works from the exhibition…

… You’ll do 🙂

A cute little exhibition that unfortunately didn’t stick around for long – here’s to hoping there will be more in the future. Did you visit? Which piece was your favourite?

Keep an eye out for more great exhibitions at Jealous in the future.

I love the ‘You’ll Do’ haha it’s so simple but also kind of cute. Those Ben Eine letters are to die for by the way.
