If there’s one thing I’ve learnt this year, it’s the power of internet friends; bloggers. I have met some seriously amazing people via this little space on the internet who I used to stalk and talk to online, and I now meet in real life. People don’t really get it: ‘How did you all meet?’ ‘What do you mean you met on the internet?’ said the drag queen on Saturday night – more on this later!
Most of the bloggers I know have full time jobs and write their blogs on the side, but the way I see it, we are colleagues online… which means we need our own office Christmas party! What happens when you take 10 bloggers, a meal and a night out? Well it sounds like a cash-matical nightmare. Wouldn’t it be easier if we could all pay our money into one place and then just use 1 card for the whole night? Well when Santander developed the KiTTi app, they had our backs. We paid all our money into the KiTTi (and Santander gave us a Christmas treat too) and we went out on the town for our Blogger-Office Christmas Party:
First stop, Q Grill for meat and cocktails. I had beef fritters and southern fried chicken with waffles and smoked maple butter – It was so tasty! I also enjoyed a couple of Georgia Cobbler gin cocktails which tasted just like normal peach juice… beautifully dangerous!
And then it was onto the main act: the drag queen cabaret at The Glam Clam pop up. I’d never been to see a cabaret or drag queens, so I wasn’t too sure what to expect but wow… these ladies know how to party.
L – R: Milly, Emsy, moi, Katy, Erica, Claire, Charlie and Ashleigh (and Charley taking the photo and Angela who had to leave us part way through the night). Not sure if you can tell, but all of these bloggers are mega babes and I had such a laugh – the internet is a wonderful place! Although the queen drag queen was a tad confused when we explained that we had all met on the internet…
But the drag queens weren’t the only ones on stage that night… we gatecrashed for a photo with the clam (although ironically you can’t see it here, just Charley’s clam bag ha)
And a dance or two. And as everyone was leaving the stage Charley & I were cornered by a queen drag queen, so we can-canned it out… as you do. The blogger christmas party was a success in my wine glass-eyes 😉
These are mainly borrowed from the other ladies as I was too busy vlogging! Make sure you watch Vlogmas Day 19 for all of the singing, dancing and glitter:
What did you think to our Blogger Christmas Party? Want to come next year? Lets make it happen…
