I feel like I’ve posted about my limited edition poster a lot recently, but this time it’s not all about me! Our Visual Expression tutors, Philippa and Barrie, kindly arranged for our work to be exhibited at the Greestone building for a week. Emma and I headed up the hill to have a look… There was a variety of processes used, from embossing to spray painting and screen printing to letterpress. All of the posters looked great...

This is only my fourth post this month, sorry! I keep planning to sit down and blog but at the moment there’s always something else to distract me! But anyway… Remember me saying that I was going to be on the design team of the University Student Magazine? Well the first issue is out! Sam, Bobbins, Dani, Lucy(hiding) and Helen checking out Issue #1 of Bullet ’11! Yesterday was the Freshers Fayre, so I picked...

Last night I was tagged in something on Facebook by Jake which is pretty cool: 3rd row down on the right is my name, handwritten by none ofther than Seb Lester! Jealous much? My name has never looked so beautiful 🙂 Thanks Seb! To be in with a chance of having your name drawn by Seb you need to Like his Facebook page  and cross your fingers 🙂 Good luck!

It is really weird to think that last year this post was about MY college exhibition – it all feels so long ago! Friday evening Dani, Bobbins and I went back to the college to check out the ‘first years’ work. Well they’re technically second years but will always be the first years to us 🙂 We had seen some of the work coming together when we visited the other week, so it was really...

Check me out! Ahhh so excited/happy about this! My University tutor asked me to be a guest contributor on the course blog, Discourse and you know me – I love blogging so couldn’t pass down the opportunity! My first post is one that you might recognise as J’adore LetterMPress App for Ipad but I will be doing some other posts about current designy things exclusively for Discourse! (I will let you know though!) Looking forward to filling...

Yesterday just before 9PM I was trying to avoid doing work and came online to check my site stats (blog views). I was so shocked! My views were at 500 for that day! I have recently been averaging about 74 a day, so 500 was a major shock! My immediate thought was ‘I’ve been featured somewhere!!?’ so I checked the referrers – WordPress.com was at the top! I was so excited to be featured on...

I would love to know Mia Nolting‘s secrets… creative secrets I mean. The secret to her success and all! I think her handwriting is really lovely. My favourite font ever? Another thing I find lovely about her is her lists. I love to write lists, it helps me a lot but they’re never as lovely looking as Mia’s! Biro over newspaper – genius. Lovely typography – I wish my handwriting was like that! I really...

I work at a chinese restaurant, and something has been bugging me for weeks. One of my jobs before we open is to clean the salt, pepper and toothpick trays. I do this every Tuesday, and for a while now I have been seeing a face in the arrangement! It was very co-incidental/odd/perfect when at the ucas fair last week, a student at Leeds College of Art and Design told me about a ‘creative faces’ competition that is...

OMG! You might (hopefully) remember my work for the Improbable Product Project where I invented Geek Repellent and branded it Glitch? WELL my work has been featured on Trendhunter.com! Yeah, I’ve never heard of it before BUT it’s an American magazine and the article has had 1013 views (so far) and I’m 4th hottest thing in 24hours :)! Ahhhhhh! So exciting 🙂 Check out the article online here or scroll down for a print screen on the page…. 🙂 Woooo!
