Head down

Only the other day I was thinking about how I’ve been really good with blogging this year – 77 posts this academic year already! However now it comes to the busy part of the year and unfortunately the blog posts will probably be few and far apart. I’ve got a to-do list longer than my arm – Dissertation, ISTD, Barrie’s new project, Auction 13, Show Thirteen (check out a new designer of the day, everyday!) and sleeping. That is my life at the moment.

Some good news – my ISTD submission is basically finished now so that’s one thing (almost) ticked off the list:

Next up is the deadline for my Dissertation next Thursday, which I haven’t really talked about here. Maybe I will do a post once it’s all done and dusted!? Until then, I’m going to hide in my room (which unfortunately has all of my stuff back in now) and finish everything.

And I will admit…

..that I am a disappointment of late!

You might have noticed… but I have been indenial – I thought I could catch up! My 365 has crashed. I made it to 45ish (we are now day 94 of 365) but I found it really hard to keep taking an interesting photo everyday! Especially when I started to get more swamped with college work! So yes. I admit I have failed with that.

ALSO, Thursday marked the first time of another failure – I missed a project deadline! I’m really disappointed with myself because up until now I have always completed everything on time (other than advertising but that wasn’t my fault!) but I made the decision that I wasn’t happy with it and there was no point handing it in incomplete… so Packaging hasn’t been handed in! :(

On a happier note, I did get a Distinction for my Printmaking module :) So I’m pleased with that… and I now have this Easter holiday to sort out my final pieces for the Multidisciplinary module

So this Easter holiday will consist of:

Advertising
Packaging
Multidisciplinary
and FMP ideas

Aswell of some blogging – a measly 5 posts in March! Pfft! April must be better!

And I am promising myself that this time will be different to all the other holidays! Usually I just laze about, and get out of practice with work and then try and cram everything I need to do into the weekend before I go back BUT you wait… I will be posting all of this week with project developments etc even though I have no Photoshop or Illustrator *sob*

I am excited about Multidisciplinary… though I have so many ideas and so little time! :( Watch this space!

The big 4-0-0-0!

4,000 views in just over a year – YAY! Thanks everyone who regularly reads my rambling :)

I apologise for the lack of posts and updates of the 365 project. I can promise you I’m not cheating; I have taken a picture everyday but it’s been really hectic recently with getting my portfolio ready so uploading has been slightly delayed!

I have been doing 12 hours at college (8am til 8pm) and then sleeping and that’s about it. I haven’t had any ‘free time’ to come and upload pictures or post… along with the portfolio prep, I’ve also got 5 college projects happening (Corporate Identity, Packaging, Magazine Design, Printmaking and Movie Posters – I will blog these in good time) but I’ve now basically finished my portfolio so should have a bit of free time :)

Views Update – 1500!!

Just a quick post to record that today, Graphique Fantastique had its 1500th view :)

I posted a link on facebook on Thursday night and so far there has been over 160 views purely come from facebook! Just to give you an idea of the scale of how amazing that is, my overall total of views for last month (September) was 344! So that is like half a months views in just 48 hours! Just amazing, and the busiest day yet!

So thanks to everyone that had a nosey about :) Hopefully I will be able to keep posting interesting stuff for everyone to read! I’m having quite a busy time at the moment but I can’t wait for things to calm down a bit so I can discover a lot more inspirational artists/designers for J’adore :)

I do have some pictures from doing some Etching in Printmaking on Tuesday which I might blog about later, but I have promised the boyfriend that I will finish all my work before I go visit him tomorrow so I need to prioritise! It will happen at some point though… until then, enjoy this picture of me eating my breakfast sat in the college car park in my car! This is how busy I have been recently, I don’t have time to eat breakfast at home haha

P.s. Don’t tell my mum!
