It’s that time of year again – time for celebration, excitement and all because… it’s my Birthday month, obvs! Ok, I always harp on about my feelings on Christmas, but incase you needed reminding… as a Boxing Day baby, it’s not my favourite time of year. HOWEVER, I think I’m getting soft in my ‘old’ age as it would appear that my heart has slightly thawed and I just might have enjoyed something Christmas related this...

It’s amazing how far word of mouth can travel – to the other side of the world in fact! Last year my friend (Hi Christie) brought me a present back from her travels to Australia; a white letter N. I noticed it was from a brand called Typo, and after a bit of a google I found out that it was a cool brand selling design lead gifts and stationery. I followed them on social media...

Last year I was really excited to attend a blogger workshop at Paperchase – you might remember my food themed Christmas tree? Yum! Anyway, I was lucky enough to be invited to another blogger evening for a preview of the new organisation ranges, some creativity (of course) and catching up with some of my fave bloggers including Tessa from All Things Stationery and Lauren from Britton Loves. From practical (folders, lamps and pens) to pretty...

Exactly one year ago today I shared my Goody Goody Gift Swap experience – well it’s that time again! After a successful gift swap in 2014, I was excited to take part again because it’s just great fun. If you don’t know what I’m talking about… Goody Goody Gift Swap is an international swap which happens around Christmas time. You are paired up with a swap mate, given a bit of information about each other and then...

Last week I was so thrilled to be invited to the Bloggers event at Paperchase. It’s no secret that I’m a massive fan of everything creative/stationery, so I was really excited to get a sneak peek of the new collections. Walking into the room full of new products, I was happy to see some familiar faces (Uli of Found Some Paper) and some new ones (Tessa from All Things Stationery). The Paperchase design team were...

So it’s the morning of Christmas eve and I don’t know about you, but I can finally relax and enjoy the holidays because all of my Christmas shopping is complete: the food, the presents. Presents. Who doesn’t love presents? They can be thoughtful or funny, but either way it’s just nice to give and receive a little something. Jo from work was telling me about a gift swap that she had taken part in last...

So I braved Black Friday, bought the presents and wrapped them all in handmade paper… I think I’m doing pretty well considering it’s still only the first week of December! But still, operation get into the festive spirit continues and so when Emmi challenged me to be creative with some of their CAFFÈ LATTE cups I saw it as the perfect opportunity to take it up a notch. With Christmas songs playing in the background, there...

With a Tesco express popping up every 5 minutes, small independent cornershops are becoming a rarity (well, in London anyway). However, just off Columbia Road, Lucy Sparrow is rebelling with her project which Lucy, Nadia & I went to check out last weekend: Although it stocks everything from space raiders to fish fingers, The Cornershop isn’t what it first appears… look closer: Everything is made of felt! Hand crafted by Lucy Sparrow and exhibited in their...

For about 3 months now I’ve been saying I wanted to go to one of The Make Escape events and this week it finally happened! Lucy, Ellie and I were looking forward to getting our craft on. We walked in to find several tables with different activities set up: From embroidery and knitting, rosettes and flowers it was a village fete themed craft night. Ellie picked embroidery whilst Lucy & I started off making rosettes...

Before you look at the book, just watch this video of people’s reactions first! Watched it? Now scroll down… 🙂                         I’m a bit book mad at the moment (Thanks to a new project – more on that later!), but Tree of codes is no ordinary book! In fact it was described by many printers as “the book you want to make just cannot be...

Maria Fisher’s ‘Traumgedanken’ project proves that books can be beautiful (well, I thought so anyway)… Mmmmm 🙂 Great little detail here – a lovely balance of black & white complimented by pastel coloured threads! Traumgedanken means ‘thoughts on dreams’ in German (if you’re wondering) and I think it’s beautiful!

With it being Valentine’s day yesterday and all, I thought it was about time to post about Marian’s work seeing as I’ve had this drafted since before christmas(which is quite weird considering the subject)! Whether you are loved up or anti-valentines, theres no denying that these laser cut, used Christmas cards from 2010 are beautiful! Marian asked her friends to send her used christmas cards and 500 cards later…. … she had a lot of hearts!...

Tom Davie’s Behance is choc-a-bloc with brilliant typographic posters This is similar to a project I have planned. I was lucky to acquire some old psychology text books (thanks to a tip off that the Psychology department at Uni were getting rid of a lot of old books) and hopefully now that the Christmas holiday is here I will be able to work on it! All will be revealed soon 🙂 Wow. I love paper...

Search ‘Zoe Bradley’ on google images and I challenge you to find work by her which is below amazing! Hah, what’s that, I win?! Yes… her work is actually amazing! If you like Yulia Broskaya’s paper magic then you will love Zoe Bradley’s installations, window displays and fashion pieces all crafted with paper. She has done work for Tiffany & Co., Selfridges, Luis Vutton, Vogue and even made Royal Mail look glamourous! I wonder how...
