Spring has sprung and so it’s time to clear out those brain cobwebs. How is it almost MAY!? Sorry, things have been a bit quiet around here recently, with working & vlogging & life. But spoiler alert; I’m working on some great content for National Stationery Week next week (24th to 30th April), so look forward to that. January came and went in a blur (RIP to my phone), and I actually forgot that GF turned 8...

Hands up if you like collecting nice looking things for inspiration or making mood boards…? Pinterest has been helping us with our desire to stay both inspired and organised at the same time. You can pin for any occasion; deciding on a new haircut, a halloween costume, redecorating your flat or planning a wedding (Apparently every girl has a secret wedding Pinterest board, but I don’t… yet). I often use the phrase ‘Pinterest-worthy’ to describe beautiful...

Last year I was really excited to attend a blogger workshop at Paperchase – you might remember my food themed Christmas tree? Yum! Anyway, I was lucky enough to be invited to another blogger evening for a preview of the new organisation ranges, some creativity (of course) and catching up with some of my fave bloggers including Tessa from All Things Stationery and Lauren from Britton Loves. From practical (folders, lamps and pens) to pretty...

When the Dreamday Pattern Journals from Laurence King arrived at my doorstep, I was a little bit excited. Not just because they are notebooks, and I admitted a long time ago that I have way too many (I just can’t put pen to paper!) but because these are different to your average idea storage. You might remember that 2015 saw the introduction of adult colouring books and they hit in a big way (and if you don’t...

Whilst London has been grey, windy and bitterly cold for the past month, at Oliver Bonas the team are embracing pattern, colour and even bikinis with the SS16 collection. The first day of Spring is technically 20th March, but I’m so ready for more sunshine and longer light and wanted to get you excited about it too! The other week I popped in to their showroom to see what treats OB has planned for the warmer...

As a Boxing Day baby I’m not the biggest fan of Christmas and I usually avoid any mention of it until there’s a D in the month. However when Oliver Bonas invited me to their Christmas in July press day I found it hard to say no! I know, I know, it’s WAY too early to be thinking about the C-word in July, but someones gotta do it I guess, or there wouldn’t be lovely things...

Last Thursday the Islington Oliver Bonas store opened its doors a bit later for a behind the scenes talk as part of London Design Festival 2015. Jo & I were welcomed by the lovely OB team with a glass of bubbly and a bit of time for browsing before the talk. Work Hard, Play Hard & Be Kind – The OB motto The first Oliver Bonas store was opened in Fulham in 1993 – Olly travelled...

With Christmas drawing closer, the pressure of buying that ‘perfect’ gift is on. As I mentioned, I’m not really into Christmas (although I’ve been feeling a lot more festive compared to previous years) but as a Graphic Designer one thing I do like looking at and thinking about is the detailing. The wrapping paper, ribbons, tags, cards – all the things that make boxes look pretty! So when Hobbycraft asked me if I wanted to...

I haven’t really had the opportunity to get my hands messy for a while so when the chance to get pattern-y with paints popped up I was pretty excited. Direct Blinds sent me a little creative kit to take part in #Makemeadesigner so I chose watercolour as my weapon of art – I just love the tones and textures that can be created. I started practising my technique with orange… … but felt more at...

Raquel’s quirky origami business card caught my eye… Who doesn’t love dot-to-dots? I really like how the message isn’t revealed straight away and also how the words are connected even though they’re on different lines! Just think this is a really unique and memorable business card which I would be very happy to own one of! Cute, interactive and memorable! Aside from liking this because 26 is my birthday number, numbers formed by stars and...

The bad news is that now I’m a student my shopping trolley doesn’t contain a lot of beautiful packaging examples, in fact probably none at all! The good news is that I can get my beautiful packaging fix thanks to Laura Berglund 🙂 I think her packaging for Reve is B-E-A-utiful and it has an unusual story behind it too… The Reve brand is in fact not about food, but a Hot Air Balloon company....

….I realise that we probably don’t know each other very well (blogger, me and reader, you lol) but one thing that you will come to notice is my love for Damask prints/patterns! (… well, if you hadn’t already guessed anyway…) I love the black and white and white on black versions best I think… colour makes it too jazzy? I love Damask so much I even sleep surrounded by it…. It looks very nice in...
