This project is nearly at a close now, with the deadline looming (like it seems to be for just about everything!) I have some work to show! Basically the brief was to create a book cover in the style of the classic Penguin series, using 3 randomly wikipedia generated subjects. My 3 subjects are: Telephone, New York City and Madison. We then had to search for a life source image and along with 2 other (1 photographic...

‘Mike7???’ You say? I haven’t discovered his actual name yet (I think it’s Mike Hoho but not sure) but he deffinitely needs a mention in my J’adore! Take a look at this sweet piece of typography and tell me what it reminds you of? (HINT: my header) Yes, that’s right! This is like something that was about to come out of my brain but then I realised it had already been done! It’s beautiful! I really like that...

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!: I am NOT going to pay for any eye tests so read this post at your own risk! Bela Borsodi’s Alphabet typographs (typography photographs) are so eye boggling, wouldn’t you agree? What I love about this work is that it’s a bit like what I would imagine its like being on drugs! I, of course, haven’t been stupid enough to do drugs so cannot be sure BUT what I mean by this is that you...

Michael Hughes’ ‘Souvenirs’ project put a smile on my face and I’m sure you will see why… Mostly proportions, placement and angles are quite important in making the picture successful but I think it still works even when it is not quite perfect. The Eiffel tower (above) and Leaning tower of Pisa (below) are my faves because the souvenirs are a bit wackier and so less obvious! This is such a genius idea and I hope...

I haven’t been blogging about anything actually done by ME recently… it’s been a lot of J’adore work (which I hope people are enjoying none the less) It’s not Graphic Design, but it is photography (again)! I’m really trying to work on my ideas and compositions etc because my mum hinted about the possibility of getting me a proper camera (decent – you know what I mean… dslr 🙂 !!!) for christmas & birthday presents this year...

It’s weird that even though I have nothing to do all summer, I only find myself blogging about once a week! Recently, its been usually on a Wednesday so I purposely didn’t blog Wednesday and then yesterday I was knackered because my younger sister, Sophie, and I went to Bawsey Pits to do a photoshoot. I have found myself sitting on flickr for hours on end just admiring the work by some talented photographers and this prompted...

I have been building up a collection of images that I have found on the internet and liked for a while now, and I think it is maybe about time to share these with others. Some of the work I have found by artists/photographers/graphic designers is AMAZING and I only hope that one day I can produce such creative and imagnitively captivating work! My first thought was to blog about a couple of images each week, but maybe...

I wanted to add some Photography work to my portfolio so me and my 2 best friends went to the park in Kings Lynn (known as ‘The Walks’ to locals) and shot some fashion type, autumn photos in November 2007.It was a bit chilly, but a nice sunny day luckily 🙂We took LOADS of clothes and accessories in a tiny Ford KA…. and got changed inside it with all the stuff! OMG You should have...

More early work, but I decided that this deserved its own post! 🙂 I needed more stuff for my Portfolio and somehow came up with the idea of doing make-up packaging with the theme of 7 deadly sins. With the help of 6 of my friends I did 2 photoshoots and shot loads of pictures… it was SO MUCH fun! 🙂 I <3 Collages 🙂 Here’s the divider/title sheet I used for my Portfolio showing...
