Happy Triangle Friday! Today I begin with a quote from one of my tutors:
‘Triangles will save the world.’ – John Stocker 2013. John is a very knowledgable man, so obviously it’s 100% true. Remember, you heard it here first!
But until then, triangles will save your Friday evening. I’ve been following the work of Illustrator Niki Pilkington for a while now and I can’t get enough of it:
Her lifelike pencil illustrations mixed with bright typography, selective colour detail and paper additions are a winning combination for me!
Even just using triangle cut outs to frame the illustration – simple but effective!
A red squirrel and rainbow bunting – why not…?
Nikki’s logo even has a triangle in it:
…a good choice if you ask me – all the best people have triangles in their logos 😉
