After a busy Bank Holiday weekend, I’m back with my sketchbook!
I was thinking the other day that if I’d been logical about it, I could have gone up/down Steep Hill, but of course, I haven’t been logical because where’s the fun in that!? (it won’t matter anyway unless you know Lincoln) So in a big leap from the very top, to the very bottom:
I kinda feel like because these little houses are right at the bottom of Steep Hill they get ignored because everyone is fixated on how steep the incline is, but I think they’re so cute!
Home to Dorrian Lambert Antique furniture and the Antique centre, I’m sure they are just as interesting inside as they are outside! I love the coloured doors too, and put my new Sharpies to use by adding a bright pop of colour:
I was a bit worried that all of the detail would be overwhelming but I’m really happy with how this turned out actually! What do you think? I feel like I’m improving a bit in terms of sketching too, in confidence if not skill ha
I’m not sure where I will sketch next because it’s quite hard finding somewhere to sit for long enough as I didn’t bring my chair to Lincoln, so looks like it’s going to be a surprise…
What have you been/are you sketching?
