At the weekend I was browsing twitter when a fashion blogger that I follow posted a link:

Curiosity got the best of me and I clicked the link and OH MY! Anyone remember spirograph? Those little plastic cogs that you would put your pen into and make cool shapes with? Well, hello again:

Yes, it is an online spirograph called inspirograph! How great is this? When I was at Uni I actually scoured the whole of Lincoln to find a spirograph and ended up buying one from the ‘party bags’ section of Toys R Us – oh the nostalgia!

I mean it’s a bit of a novelty, but you can’t deny that the shapes that you can produce are pretty cool. And with this online one there are shortcuts (although you can whiz it around with your mouse like I did for the first hour ha) to make it nice and easy:

You can select different sizes and shapes on the left and different colours for the ‘pens’ and background on the right. I personally think that 3 colours is probably my limit before things start to look a bit crazy but if you think differently prove me wrong and upload your own to the online gallery (or just scroll for inspiration ha):

And here’s one I made earlier:

Such a simple thing but so brilliant – Nathan Friend thank you for providing hours of entertainment! Hands up if you love it too – let me know what you think 🙂
