#The100DayProject: Week Nine

I can’t believe that it’s June. Summer has officially arrived… and so has my hayfever! It’s been amazing weather this week, but unfortunately I’ve not really been outside to enjoy it because I was ill with a fever Wednesday to Friday. Burning up and being stuck inside when it’s beautiful weather outside is one of the worst things. Luckily I was feeling much better for the weekend so the triangle hunt continued. The show must go on – here’s week 9:

57 – Continuing from Sunday, at Graduate Fashion Week I was happy to find lots of graphic application. It’s great to see that fancy Fashion and it’s lesser known cousin, Graphic Design, can work together because they go hand in hand.

58 – Sara & I went to a #TypeTuesday talk at St Brides about stencilling and I was keen to post something from that, but in the end I decided my photos were rubbish and also I had just posted about the counter (the inside cutty out bit) of the A on Monday. So instead I went with this subtle and minimal diagonal texture that I walk past on my way to Waterloo. Sometimes it’s nice not to try too hard and to just keep things simple.

59 – On Wednesday I attended the private view of Horace Panter’s The Art of The Mixtape exhibition at The Proud Archivist. The Special’s bassist is sharing his beautiful hand painted cassette tapes until the 30th June so head to Haggerston. At this point of the week I was starting to feel feverish so I quickly did the rounds of the exhibition and headed home to bed.

60 – After seeing Laura’s week of {insert colour here} posts, I wanted to join in. This week was #aweekoforange, so I killed two birds with one stone in this one – you can’t get more orange than this and it’s triangly too! (It’s a close up of a Birthday card from Paperchase incase you were wondering)

61 – Spotting beauty in the shadows of London. I took this a few weeks back but didn’t get around to posting it and thanks to my fever I was bed bound, so it was the perfect excuse to share it.

62 – Feeling much better on Saturday I went to The Shard to celebrate my housemate’s birthday – Happy 25th Nadia 🙂 Sipping our cocktails (at £16 a go we made just 1 cocktail last 2 hours ha) we felt very sophisticated and watched the sunset over amazing views across the city. We weren’t quite half way up on the 32nd floor (The Shard has 72 floors), but I noticed a lot of triangles which are hidden from the streets below. Also the view from the toilets was amazing – an unexpected surprise!

63 – #nofilter – again, keeping it simple with this sky shot of a bridge from Brick Lane.
