#The100DayProject: Week Fifteen (THE FINALE)

Week 15! THE END! I honestly didn’t know if I was going to make it this far when I started #The100DayProject back in April. I’ve never stuck to anything like this before, but actually in the end it was just a part of my daily routine and no hassle to post (well, other than the pressure). The pressure was really on this week as it was the end of the project – I really wanted to go out on a high. So, what did I choose?:

99 – I’ve been trying to photograph the new tile patterns at Tottenham Court Road underground station for a while now, looking for the right angle, composition and lighting. Luckily I took this just in time for the end of the project and it actually turned out to be 7th most popular of the whole project 🙂

100 – THE FINALE! I was feeling so much pressure posting this. I really didn’t have a clue what I wanted to end the whole project with and I think a lot of people assumed that I would have had something planned and prepared. Nope! I knew I wanted to do something that involved me – the girl behind all of the triangles. I got home late that night and roped Lucy into helping me – she painted a triangle on my face (in red to match my outfit) but I thought you might all think I’d lost it completely…

100.5 – … so we took some other photos too, with some red cardboard triangles. And that was the end…

101 – … or not. I was having a bit of Triangle withdrawal. It felt weird to not have to post, so I posted anyway!

And that’s a wrap! I actually posted 105 triangles in the end because there were a couple of days where I wasn’t happy with/ didn’t think the triangle was ‘good enough’. Here’s the full project:

So a few stats, because I love being a bit of a numbers geek – looking at statistics and finding trends/patterns.

The ‘top triangle’ is this shot of the Lazy Oaf plate from Pick Me Up 2015 with 316 likes – my phone was going crazy! I don’t really know why this was so popular but people were still liking it 5 days after I’d posted it!

I think we can see a bit of a pattern here – most of the top 12 are really colourful with bold lines or pattern. On the opposite end, the least liked triangles are a bit dull…UpopularTriangles
It was quite hard to choose my favourite, so I picked 3 instead. The first is Day 26 – the stairs in the side of a roadside from our visit to Sweden. It’s a subtle triangle, but it was funny watching Jack run up them for me to photograph it, bless him. 10/10 for effort!

The second is the massive grey triangle at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition from day 78 – that triangle is worth 60K! And it took so many attempts to get an ok photo of me next to it… I’m such an awkward model.

The third is this sunny triangle which I noticed around the corner from work – 100% case of being in the right place at the right time. I was waiting to meet Soof and took about 20 photos of different people walking past but liked this the best as both of the people’s legs make triangles too.

Thanks again for everyone’s support – it’s been a brilliant experience and I’m really impressed that I managed to post everyday for 100 days. It was also AMAZING to be featured as a top pick in week 10 by Lisa Congdon in the #The100DayProject newsletter – I feel very honoured.

So now that it’s over, what’s next!? I really don’t know. I haven’t posted since number 101 – should I continue posting triangles? Should I go back to posting inspiration? Let me know what you think…. and your favourites from the project too! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @natasha_nuttall to see what I do next…

It’s been so awesome following this project and it all looks so great together, you should get it made into a book or something hahah. And so cool to be featured by Lisa Congdon- I love her blog!

Thanks for your support Amy – which day was your fave? 🙂 I hadn’t considered making it into a book! Maybe I will… Yes, I was so happy when Lisa picked me – she’s awesome! x

I loved your project so much, I was really excited to see what you’d come up with every day. I’m kicking myself for not joining in with the project to be honest, I’ve enjoyed the ‘week of colour’ instagram hashtag by Laura from Cardboard Cities so much and I wish I could do it every day. You picked so many great triangles, and some really unusual ones which I think most people would miss. I particularly loved your Swedish stairs, the lamp with triangular patterns, the subtle triangle in the curtains, the rainy triangle floor tiles and the sunny triangle shadow with people walking. 🙂

Thanks so much for your support Laura – it really means so much! You should just start your own 100 days – there’s no time limit and a lot of people are only just starting to get involved now too. If not, we can both cheer each other on next year? 🙂 YES, Laura’s week of colour tag is great and you’ve submitted some lovely photos!
I’m glad you liked the unusual ones – I really enjoyed finding the obscure ones 🙂 Ahhh you picked some brilliant ones there – some of my faves too 😉 I’m having a bit of an insta-break atm but hopefully triangle-service will resume sometime soon 😀 xx
