The Little Book of Typographic Ornament

The Little Book of Typographic Ornament is exactly what it says: a small book crammed with decorations for use with typography. Whether that be a pattern, flourish, illustration or border, this book has it all.

Arranged into sections, the little book displays over 200 pages of ornaments, and a splash of colour adds some hierarchy to draw the eye.

It’s hard to choose a favourite, but I love these decorative banners reading ‘bought of’ – it makes no sense to me but they look amazing:

… and I also love this page of transportation: the detail in those bicycles is just brilliant.

So not only can you admire the ornaments, but thanks to a download code you’re able to use everything within the book – a brilliant idea. So, in true Blue Peter style…here’s somethings I made (quickly) earlier:

How cute is this book, right? What do you think to my use of decoration? What would you use the ornaments for?

The Little Book of Typographic Ornament is available to buy from 21st September 2015, so get yourself a copy and get creative!

. I was kindly sent this book by Laurence King, but as always all opinions are my own & I wouldn’t post anything I didn’t like 🙂 .

I totally agree Lauren – the download is an amazing feature that all books should have! I loved getting creative with the ornaments and am thinking about doing more quotes… what do you think? 🙂 xx

Hi I know this post was written ages ago, but would like to ask where did you download those images! I bought that book few months ago in UK, but the address that book says doesn’t work. Do you mind if I ask help? If you remember the address you used? Thank you!
Love your works by the way👍🏻

      Hi Jae,
Thanks for stopping by 🙂 I just dug the book from my bookcase to try the link & you’re right, it doesn’t work anymore. Maybe it’s worth dropping them an email, especially if you bought the book recently and aren’t able to access any of the downloads! Let me know how you get on…
