So here’s something quite scary – if my blog was a human, it would be attending school right now. 7 years and 751 posts. Wow!
Every year I write a birthday post saying that I’m surprised that I’ve stuck at it for so long – what a cliche I know, but still it’s true. Sometimes I go through rough patches where I’m uninspired, but I really I can’t imagine my life without blogging.
I guess it’s quite fitting that today, on my blog’s birthday, I started a new job… in blogging. After Taking control of my life I really didn’t know what I was going to do next. So I spent some time making Youtube videos (Vlogmas!), exploring London and just thinking about things – I did a lot of thinking. Most importantly I was open to new experiences and different opportunities which I didn’t have the time/space to consider whilst working my 9-6 desk job. I keep talking about all of these transferrable skills that I have thanks to blogging, so I’ve put my money where my mouth is and become Community Executive (aka Social Media Guru – that’s how I’ve explained it to my Mum anyway)!
It might be a career ‘tangent’, but it doesn’t mean that I’m leaving design forever. I’ll still have this little space on the internet where I can create things and continue to do my own thing, as per 2009.
So whether you’ve been with me since 2009 (if you’ve been following me for 7 years then 1000 points to you & you MUST comment to let me know!) or last month, THANK YOU.
What do you want to see in the 7th year of Graphique Fantastique?
P.S. Also, this time last year I was chosen as Blogger of the month (Jan 2015) – it’s funny how much things can change in a year.

Had to comment as I’ve been following you since the beginning but never commented! I can’t remember how I found your blog but it must be something to do with mutual twitter friends from when I was considering attending Lincoln Uni way back in 2009.
Congrats on 7 years and lots of luck with the Nuffnang job!

Congrats on the seven years, that seems like such a long time but also, not? Also, congratulations on the new job, I’ve never actually heard of Nuffnang before, or I have and it’s flown out of my mind as these things do.
I hope there’s another seven more years to come 🙂

Congrats on the new job and well done on seven years! That’s kind of insane: you rarely see that these days, really, and people get so excited over one year anniversaries! Just keep on doing whatcha doing 🙂
