Last night, the girls & I met up to exchange secret santa gifts and as an early celebration for Emma’s birthday. Lucy received a Baileys set from Amber – for Baileys and hot chocolate nights in! I bought secret santa for Amber this year… From a yellow pencil money box, I made her her own a D&AD award: So she can save up for her entry fee this year or just have it on her...

A recent addition to the Graphics household is our house pet, Caslon: Awww, isn’t he just the cutest? (He does have a hairy bum though!) We named him Caslon because it’s a typeface(of course) and also sounds like Aslan the lion from Narnia. He’s the perfect pet for Graphic Designers – low maintenance and has creative hair (we’re thinking of cutting it into a mohawk). He gets loads of attention and is great for procrastination!...

Some observant people(or twitter followers) might have noticed a small, but very exciting change around here recently? Eeeek! We are now a .com! Makes me feel a bit more serious, it’s a bit easier to remember and it’s faster to type in so you can pop to see what I’m upto more often now 🙂 It was a bit of an impulse thing really. I did think about buying natashnuttall.com but it was already taken,...

It’s been a while since I last posted, sorry… I’ve been away at Reading Festival 2011! This was my 4th, and probably last, year because I will need to concentrate on getting placements and experience next summer! Moi amongst the mud repping Milton Glaser – Too scared to take my Helvetica Tshirt! Had a great time with #GraphicsAtReading! Highlights included MCR, Crystal Castles, Panic! At The Disco, Friendly Fires and seeing some amazing T-shirt designs...

So I’ve been a bit quiet recently, mainly because I don’t want to just blog for the sake of it. I haven’t been up to anything super exciting really, but I just did my last day at Accessorize today and then next week I move into my new Uni house so things are going to pick up hopefully. Just can’t wait to get back to Uni really! So I’ve had some ‘time out’. By this...

Happy New Year everyone…. hope 2011 brings good things for you all 🙂 I haven’t decided on a resolution yet – I’m hoping it will pop into my head when I wake up in the morning! I’ve had a fantastic 2010; I’ve achieved a lot, I’ve learnt a lot and I’ve met some amazing people who I can’t wait to enjoy 2011 with! I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead 🙂 Let the Lamp shop be the...

I have shamefully only posted once this month due to being completely swamped under with Uni work, but I have 10 posts in draft at the moment so will be catching up now that I am finished for Christmas! Rewind back to the 9th December 2010…. Due to the snow some of our lessons were cancelled, resulting in snow days… I mean time to do some extra work 🙂 They never fail to amaze/surprise/confuse us...

Since Wednesday I had been hearing about places around England which had snow and wondering if/when Lincoln would get frosted. It was 12.27am yesterday when I looked out of the window and it had snowed! This is crazy! Snow in November? It was too exciting to miss so I just HAD to go outside with my flatmate and her boyfriend. Later in the afternoon I made the risky trek up Steep Hill to the Cathedral...

You know, making a stop motion animation of how to measure 5 metres of wallpaper lining is a really great way to be doing a project, but not be doing anything useful for the project! Although, we will have to make a 30sec animation in the end so maybe I am actually doing the project, or practicing anyway!? 🙂 Lucky that my flat mates are away for the weekend… I was being a bit of...

Morning! Just seen someone point out that it’s 10.10.10 today and it reminded me that I’m nearly at 10,000 views! October has been a great month for views already… 454 views in 10 days! That is AMAZING!  That’s more views than I had for the whole of July this year haha So really, thanks to whoever is reading – it makes me happy 🙂 BUT I have a challenge on my hands…. I need 101...

..that I am a disappointment of late! You might have noticed… but I have been indenial – I thought I could catch up! My 365 has crashed. I made it to 45ish (we are now day 94 of 365) but I found it really hard to keep taking an interesting photo everyday! Especially when I started to get more swamped with college work! So yes. I admit I have failed with that. ALSO, Thursday marked the first...
